Many homeowners are pet owners and can be seen throughout the day walking their pets. The low traffic area of the suburban streets makes each walk a pleasant event with friendly neighbors willing to wave or stop and talk along the way. There is an abundance of eclectic restaurants along N. Beverwyck Road to satisfy just about anyone's palate. Living in Lake Hiawatha puts you right in the middle of it all. Public transportation is readily available as NJ Transit Bus and Morris County Bus lines intersect the town’s byways. A stone’s throw away at the intersection of Rt. 46 and Beverwyck Road is the Lakeland Bus Line’s park and ride with access to NYC.
